The process

01

Quarrying

Marble is extracted from quarries using wire saws, diamond wire saws, or sometimes traditional methods like drilling and blasting. The goal is to remove large blocks of marble from the earth.

02

Cutting and Shaping

Once extracted, the large blocks of marble are trimmed and shaped into more manageable sizes using wire saws or gang saws

03

Slab Cutting

Slicing: The blocks are then sliced into thinner slabs, usually 2cm to 3cm thick, using block cutters or gang saws. The slabs are then polished to enhance their surface finish.

04

Surface Finishing

Grinding and Polishing: The slabs are ground to remove any imperfections and then polished to achieve a high-gloss finish. Various grits of abrasive pads are used in this process.
